What a shoot this was!

Four non smokers and non beer drinkers, Drinking and smoking and rocking out on a harley all day. It sure is a hard life!

A fairly relaxed start time of 10:30 for prep and midday shooting kicked us off to a really fun shoot. Models were outstanding as always, makeup was fast and flawless, the weather was like nothing we’ve seen in this country for years and it all built up to perfection!

Posh nosh and cocktails to finish. Great day, great team, great photos.

Happy Lel is happy!

Hope you all like the images! Let me know what you think and don’t forget to reblog and keep the credits (even if you remove the text!)

Testing testing 1 2 3

Testing
For me, testing is a rare and wonderful thing. Almost all my greatest work has been shot on a test basis with other amazing people in the industry.

“but surely professionals don’t/won’t work for free?”  WRONG!
This is myth. Granted professionals very very rarely work for free and rightly so, they’ve worked hard to get where they are.

Consider this, A model, photographer and mua all love eachothers work but none are ever willing to work for free…
result: the great images are never made, their portfolio is missing some fantastic work they may not be able to get elsewhere and they fail to gain the attention of worthy clients due to only working with amateurs who are willing to pay them.

Many people I know, who are far more well established than I, often test as it’s a fantastic way to work with people to really let loose and push yourself. Without testing many outstanding artists would never be able to collaborate and fantastic opportunities would be missed.

So don’t shy away if you see the word test, check out their work and think what could be brought to your portfolio! If it’s going to bring something new or raise the level of your work then go-go-go for it!

Rant over.
Lel out!
