What a lucky man I am!

As soon as Colleen woke this morning I had to be the annoying photographer boyfriend and stick a camera right in her face.
I’ve missed shooting with my muse and greatest inspiration on a regular basis. You wouldn’t believe that not only is she not wearing any makeup, but she also gave birth to our beautiful baby boy less than three months ago! Minus a slight levels tweek in Photoshop these images are straight out of camera.

This was shot on the Fuji X100s hand held at ISO6400!!!
(the third is shot on iphone of colleen reviewing the pics)

I don’t think I’ve ever pushed my ISO beyond 800 (and that’s only in the most extreme of circumstances) but I’m amazed to get images at 6400 that are not only usable but captured so well the dim, soft and beautiful light in the early hours this morning. The low light capabilities of this camera are outstanding.

I will be writing a full review of this camera soon, after being sent the X100s from Fujifilm just yesterday I am already deeply impressed.

Expect many more shoots featuring this camera soon!
